Jay-Z will perform the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist confirmed the announcement on Monday. The game is scheduled to be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The deal is worth $30 million, according to reports. Roc Nation, Jay-Z's management company, has produced the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year contract extension that secures its role through 2029.
Since Roc Nation took over production duties, the halftime presentations have focused more heavily on hip-hop and rap genres. The 2026 show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny as the headliner. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin appeared as guests during that performance.
Los Angeles previously hosted the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022. That performance included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak also appeared during the set. More recent headliners have included Rihanna in 2023, Usher in 2024, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025.
Jay-Z has never performed at the Super Bowl before. The 25-time Grammy winner spent 2026 touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. His tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He then played two shows in London and one in Paris in September.
The artist concluded his tour with two shows on October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. These final dates occurred just weeks before the Super Bowl halftime performance scheduled at the same venue.
