The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets will meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., with prediction markets pricing the outcome as nearly a coin flip. Shares for a Raiders victory are trading at $0.51 on Kalshi, while a Jets win is priced at $0.50. These prices reflect a 51% probability for Las Vegas and a 50% probability for New York according to the current market data.
The Raiders enter the game seeking to stop a four-game losing streak. Their offense has remained productive, with quarterback Kirk Cousins throwing for at least 240 yards in each of his last five appearances. However, the defense has struggled, allowing approximately 36 points per game during that slumping stretch. The Raiders have faced Kansas City, New England, Buffalo, and Los Angeles, all teams with playoff aspirations.
New York has lost two straight games, including a 28-25 defeat to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The Jets defense ranks fifth in the league, allowing 187.7 passing yards per game. Quarterback Geno Smith has completed 70% of his passes for 1,621 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Rookie defensive end David Bailey leads the team with 5.5 sacks.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulated the matchup 10,000 times. In those runs, the model projected a New York victory in 59% of scenarios and a Las Vegas win in 41%. The model's projected score shows the Jets winning by five points.
Market prices for specific game outcomes also indicate a close contest. The probability of the Raiders winning by more than 1.5 points is priced at $0.48. The likelihood of the game totaling more than 44.5 points is priced at $0.51, with the under at $0.52.
The Raiders rank sixth in the league in scoring at 26.1 points per game. The Jets have recorded eight takeaways and 19 sacks. Both teams have struggled with penalties and turnovers in recent weeks, which could impact the final score.
