The Milwaukee Brewers have returned to the World Series, ending a 44-year gap since the last title contender from the city. Marcus Theatres has announced a series of promotions and screenings to coincide with the games, positioning its venues as gathering spots for fans across the region. The chain’s response includes specific pricing on food and drink, as well as the theatrical release of two films documenting the 1982 season.

Jeff Tomachek, president of Marcus Theatres, stated that the company has been anticipating this moment for decades. “We've been waiting 44 years for a moment like this, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate alongside our Milwaukee community,” Tomachek said. He described the theaters as a location where fans can watch the games together, either by reviewing the history of the 1982 team or by socializing in the bar areas.

Participating locations will offer domestic drafts of beer for $5 during game days. The menu also includes Game Time Lemonades at $9 and medium pizzas for $10. Appetizers are available at half price for the duration of the series. These deals apply to specific venues, including Movie Tavern Brookfield, Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, and Marcus Renaissance.

Marcus Theatres is also screening “UECK” and “Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers.” Showings are scheduled at 11 different locations. These include Marcus Bay Park Cinema in Ashwaubenon, Marcus Green Bay East Cinema, and Marcus Hillside Cinema in Delafield. The chain also lists Marcus Hollywood Cinema and Marcus Valley Grand Cinema in Appleton, along with sites in Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, Sturtevant, New Berlin, Sheboygan, and Oak Creek.

Fans can watch the games on televisions and digital projectors in the bars and lounges at the participating sites. The Wall at Gurnee Cinema is also designated as a sports bar venue for the series. For those who prefer to stay up to date, the Marcus Theatres website and mobile app list all ticket availability, screening dates, and showtimes.

A bonus is available for members of the Magical Movie Rewards program. Anyone who watches a film before October 31 will receive a voucher for one free Junior popcorn. The voucher is valid for redemption between November 4 and November 24. Individuals who are not yet members can sign up for free prior to their visit to receive the offer.

The details of the promotions and screenings were distributed via a press release from Marcus Theatres. The chain aims to provide multiple ways for the Milwaukee community to engage with the World Series, combining live viewing with a retrospective look at the city’s baseball heritage.
