Both teams seek a divisional rebound against a backdrop of a historic winless stretch, with Javonte Williams and CeeDee Lamb chasing personal milestones.

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles meet Monday night in Philadelphia, both teams sitting at 2-4. The matchup offers a chance for either squad to re-enter the NFC East race. The division is currently weak enough that a turnaround remains mathematically possible.
The New York Giants lead the division with a 3-2-1 record. The Cowboys and Eagles trail them by a small margin. Over the last two weeks, all four division teams played twice. None of them won a game. This is the first time since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger that a division has gone 0-8 in a two-week span.
Philadelphia is on a four-game losing streak. This is the first losing streak of that length since 2020. Coach Nick Sirianni took over the following year. The offense has scored only 58 points across the four losses. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve with blood clots and will miss the rest of the season.
Tanner McKee will start at quarterback for the Eagles. He spent most of his first two NFL seasons as a backup. Last week's loss to Carolina was his first meaningful start. He had only two days of first-team practice before that game. This week, he has more than a full week to work with first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. McKee said he feels he has a good preparation process and plans to meet with the coaching staff more often.
The Eagles face injury issues at running back. Saquon Barkley has missed more than two games with a hamstring injury. Backups Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are also hurt. Carson Steele, signed from the practice squad last week, hurt his shoulder against Carolina. Dameon Pierce was the only runner in that game, carrying for 35 yards. Dallas allows 4.7 yards per carry this season.
The Cowboys have their own struggles. They rank 30th in the league in defense under first-year coordinator Christian Parker. The offense scored only 29 points combined in its last two losses. This includes a 23-13 defeat to Green Bay last week. Dak Prescott has scored fewer than 20 points in consecutive starts for the first time since 2019.
Owner Jerry Jones said at the NFL's annual fall meeting on Wednesday that he does not expect more coaching changes this season. He described the hiring of Mike Pettine this month as strategic. Javonte Williams has seven rushing touchdowns in the first six games, the second-most for a Cowboys player in that span behind Emmitt Smith. CeeDee Lamb has 48 receptions, the most in franchise history through six games.
Dallas is favored by 4 points. The Cowboys are 3-3 against the spread, while the Eagles are 1-5. Dallas leads the all-time series 72-58 and won the last meeting 24-21 on Nov. 23, 2025. Kickoff is at 7:15 p.m. CST on ESPN.
