Valencia's Six Flags Magic Mountain is preparing for its busiest holiday season in five decades. The park announced five new productions for the 12th annual Holiday in the Park, which will operate on select dates from November 26 through January 3.
The new entertainment includes a tree lighting ceremony at the Full Throttle Stage that opens each evening. A high-energy performance titled "Cool Yule Christmas" will feature singers and dancers on the same stage. The park also added "Tinker's Toy Factory," a theatrical piece in the GearWorks Theater set in Santa's workshop.
Family-oriented shows will occupy other venues. "No Biz Like Snow Biz" will star Looney Tunes characters in the Bunny Bowl Amphitheater. In Metropolis Park, the Tinsel Town Players will present "Twas: A Merry Mishap," inviting audiences to participate in the retelling of a holiday story.
Live music will continue throughout the grounds. The Yule Logs will perform at the Metro Pub, while the Mistletones will sing at the Carousel Gazebo. Guests can also visit Rapids Camp Crossing for holiday crafts and a story session with Mrs. Claus.
Physical changes to the park include the transformation of the Underground land beneath the West Coast Racers coaster. That area will become an oversized Christmas tree lot designed for photography. Food options will include pozole, pumpkin pie, and eggnog cheesecake funnel cake. An optional fee allows visitors to roast marshmallows and make s'mores at an open fire pit.
