Alexander William Towne faces a second-degree murder charge connected to the 2025 death of his wife, Kim White.

The trial is scheduled to begin on April 19, 2027. A court order entered on October 16 confirmed the date for a five-day jury proceeding in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Judge Christie Leary will preside over the case.

Towne, 33, is accused of strangling White, 32, during an argument. First responders arrived at their home in the 16000 block of Bromall Court in Chantilly at 7:48 p.m. on May 24, 2025. Police said they had not previously responded to domestic incidents at that address.

Criminal complaint records indicate Towne called emergency dispatchers to report the death. He told dispatchers, "I don’t think she’s with us any longer." The complaint states he choked his wife during the dispute. A child was present in the home during the assault but was not injured.

Court documents do not specify the subject of the argument. Towne currently remains in custody without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The Fairfax County Department of Family Services maintains a 24-hour hotline at 703-360-7273 for victims and survivors of domestic violence.
